Snowdon System
Compliance & safety
The Snowdon System is designed for the realities of residential aged care — wet rooms, infection control, frail residents and round-the-clock operation.
Physical safety
- Walkway tiles are low-profile, level and textured to add grip and avoid creating a trip hazard.
- Batteries sit inside a protected enclosure within the primary tile, isolated from physical disturbance.
Water & hygiene
- Electronics are housed in sealed, IP-rated water-resistant enclosures suited to bathrooms, kitchens and entryways.
- The pillow's electronics sit in a removable, self-contained pouch, so the outer cover can be laundered to meet infection-control needs.
Data & consent
The system is camera-free, microphone-free, encrypted and consent-based. See our Privacy summary for details.
Status & validation
The current build is an alpha prototype and is not a certified medical device. A planned 12-month pilot will cross-reference automated data against nurse shift logs and professional assessments to build clinical validation.
Note: Formal certifications and standards documentation will be added here as the pilot progresses.
