Snowdon System
Privacy
The Snowdon System is built privacy-first. It supports residents without watching or listening to them — and it shares only what carers need to keep people safe.
Passive by design
There are no cameras and no microphones anywhere in the system. It never captures images, video or audio.
What the system records
- Smart Pillow: surface and contact temperature readings from a six-sensor grid.
- Proactive Walkway: footstep pressure and the gait metrics derived from it — walking speed, step timing and stride consistency.
- No personal images, audio or identifying biometrics.
How your data is protected
- Logged telemetry has personal identifiers stripped out.
- Storage and transmission are encrypted.
- Dashboard access is restricted to authorised care staff.
- The system runs on a consent-based model — residents or their representatives can adjust monitoring or opt out.
How data is used
Only to generate care insights, fall alerts and long-term mobility and sleep trends for the resident's care team. Data is never sold.
Note: This is a plain-language summary of our privacy-by-design approach during the alpha pilot. A formal, reviewed Privacy Policy will be published before any live deployment.
